Sandyston Township does not provide garbage and recycling services through taxes.  It is the choice of the resident to determine how to dispose of garbage:

• Contract with a private garbage company who also provides recycling
• Take garbage and recycling to Sussex County Municipal Utilities (SCMUA) a/k/a "the dump"

Residents may recycle the following recyclables at the SCMUA Recycling Center at no charge:

• Commingled glass, plastic (#1, 2 & 5) and metal containers
• Mixed paper and chipboard
• Cardboard
• Newspaper
• Motor oil and antifreeze
• Cooking Oil
• Packaging Foam
• Rechargeable batteries
• Plastic bags
