Thank You Volunteers

The Sandyston-Walpack School students in Mr. Huarte's 2nd grade and Mrs. Tarbell's 5th grade made "thank you" cards for the Sandyston Township Fire Department as a service project for the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. On Saturday, September 11, before the start of our chicken BBQ, Mrs. Tarbell, along with two students, Charlotte Fryer and Kaitlyn Hagen (who’s dads are firemen with the department), presented the cards to fire department members Deputy Chief Shane Houghtaling, Chief Scott House, 2nd Vice President Arthur House and Trustee Richard Haskins.

We are extremely touched by the thoughtfulness of the students and their teachers, Mr. Huarte and Mrs. Tarbell, to think of our fire department in commemoration of Patriot’s Day. (Sept. 2021)
